Gen. Hun Manet: Rich and Poor are One Khmer People Deserving of Help

PHNOM PENH: Member of the Cambodian People's Party Central Committee and CPP candidate, Gen. Hun Manet, said that under the CPP’s leadership, the Royal Government creates policies that help people from all walks of life.

In a 9-minute video clip on July 10, Gen. Hun Manet stated that both the rich and the poor work to make Cambodia strong and that the goal of the Royal Government is to help all people grow, especially the poor.

He said that the rich have contributed a lot to the government in the country’s development, contrary to what some people say. He claimed that the government aims to help people become more prosperous, especially in regards to the middle class as they are an important driver of the economy that contributes a lot to national development.

He added that the poor are the force that helps the nation in all areas, and that the Royal Government wants to develop the country and reduce poverty by enabling people to earn more.

Gen. Hun Manet emphasized that the Royal Government, led by the CPP, does not care about class, but cares for all citizens as one Khmer people; because both the rich and the poor are the nation’s force.
